Creating a New Category Attribute

  1. Click on More > “Attributes” at the top of the page, then click “Add Attribute” to open the Attribute Creation Wizard.

  2. Select “Category” from the list of available attribute types, then click continue.

  2. Fill in the details. Only the “Attribute Name” field is required in this circumstance, but other fields may be adjusted as applicable. Please note, “Formula” is only recommended for advanced users.

Assigning Categories to Category Attributes

  1. Select the product you’d like to edit and navigate to the appropriate attributes

  2. Click “Add Value” in each Category field and assign the appropriate Category. You can only assign one Category per Category Attribute.

Filtering Products by Category

  1. On the Products page, click “Add Filter” in the filter column on the left to bring up the filter setup window.

  2. In the filter setup window, search for and select the relevant category attribute, and click the blank space at the bottom to bring up the category tree.

  2. Once your first filter is set up, compounding filters can be set up further narrow down the search. Repeat the last 2 steps to create filters for the number of category attributes you’re looking for, and Catsy will display products that meet all the filter criteria.
