Product variants are used to manage products that have different variations, like size, color, etc.
Follow the steps below to set up your variants.Example:
In the steps below, we will setup variants for a cordless tool product with multiple power options.

Before we setup, the first step is to create a "Variation Group" for Cordless Tools. This variation group has two attributes: voltage and battery capacity.
The reason for this is so as you add more products, you will not have to keep adding the attributes manually.

Part 2: Setup the Variant Attributes
2.1. Now click "Attributes" from the header menu.
2.2. Click "Add Attribute" and select "Picklist" to create an input window where you will enter the different options your customers can choose from. Click "Continue."
2.3. Enter the attribute name (Ex: Color, Size, Voltage).
* Keep the validation level as "Optional" unless this selection will be required to check out.

1. Once your parent product has been created, select your parent product to view the Product Details Page.
2. To create your first variant, select New Variant.

3. Upon creation of this products first variant, you will be able to view and select variants by clicking the variant dropdown at the top of the page, clicking the variant group to the left, or clicking the variants tab at the bottom.

Part 2: Creating variants through simple imports
Catsy also allows you to create and assign variants by data import. When performing bulk updates, using the Import feature is the most efficient way of generating large numbers of products and populating their relevant information. For more information on Catsy’s Import feature, please see Importing Products .
Part 3: Editing Option Attributes
Option Attributes can be edited at any point within the Parent Product’s Details Page.
Click on the Variants tab to bring up the variants portion of the details page, and select “Set Options”.
Select the attributes you’d like to set as Option Attributes, and click “Save”.
