All Catsy users are assigned a role with one of the following types:

  • Administrator - usually this is the user who owns the account, and has access to user and content management

  • Contributor - this user can edit, add and delete products, attributes, assets, collections and channels

  • Gated viewer - a user who can only view products and digital assets

  • Open viewer - an anonymous user who can share Digital Catalogs outside your organization

This overview of roles in Catsy will help administrators add, remove and edit roles within their organization.

1. From the dashboard, click on “Tools“ → More → Administration:

2. Click on Roles in the left-side menu:

3. Add a Role: click on the “Add“ button on the right:

Every role has a type (administrator, contributor, etc.) and its users can be given different levels of access to attributes and assets. As a general rule the following types have the following levels of access:

  • administrator and contributor have “write” access to attributes and assets

  • gated viewers and open viewers have “read“ access to attributes and assets

If necessary, however, these may be adjusted to best suit the needs of the organizational structure.
