- Open up InDesign
- If you have not already, install the Catsy plug-in. Directions on how to do this can be found here for Windows and here forfor Mac
- Log into the plugin by clicking on the Catsy toolbar icon at the top and Select "login"
- Click the Catsy toolbar again and select template builder
- Create a text box for the fields by clicking the T icon on the left hand tool and dragging your mouse to create a box
- In the Catsy Template builder window, select if you want fields on the family level, Item level or event level
- Scroll through until you find the field you want to add to your template and drag the field into the text box you created
- Add all the fields you need to the text box or create more text boxes to house the fields
- If you want to change the font or the size, select the field and click the font drop down. Select the font you want
- Next to the font drop down you will find the text size drop down. Here you can change the text size
- Underneath the text size you will find the line spacing drop down. This lets you choose how the space in between each line
- To add an item or family image scroll down near the bottom of the template builder and select the image type you want
- Drag it into your document
